Raynsford is a Church of England School situated within the village of Henlow. We enjoy close links with our local church, St Mary's, as well as benefitting from the support and wealth of resources provided by the Diocese of St Albans.
In addition to this we benefit from a variety of other visitors who enhance the unique Christian character of our school. Visitors include St Mary's vicar, the minister from Henlow Methodist Church, and Open the Book team.
We also welcome speakers and visitors from other faiths and provide a wide range of real life experiences for the children to enjoy the cultural diversity of our country. These include a Bible exhibition, visiting a Synagogue, going on the Faith Tour etc.
We welcome the new vicar, Revd Shaun Speller, of St Mary's who joined us in February and also welcome the new Methodist Minister, Rev Lorna Valentine, to the Raynsford family. Reverend Speller is a member of the school's governing body and provides theological insight and support to staff, families and pupils. In addition to this he works with our Christian Leaders.
